The booking small-print, in plain English.

1. Who we are
nudge. Limited (company reg. 162442) is a rugby skills coaching practice based in Jersey, Channel Islands. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to nudge. Limited. "You" and "your" refer to the parent or guardian booking sessions on behalf of a player under 18, or to an adult player booking their own sessions.
2. What you're booking, and how
We run three coaching offerings, each booked in a different way:
- SkillsClub — weekly 45-minute skills sessions, Mondays at Victoria College, for U11, U13 and U15 age groups. Booked through the signup form on this website. These terms apply automatically when you submit that form.
- 1:1 & small-group sessions — bespoke sessions arranged by enquiry. Booked by emailing info@nudge.je. These terms apply once we confirm the booking by email.
- Open training sessions — free, drop-in community sessions held monthly at a rotating parish. No signup needed — just turn up. Attending one of these sessions counts as your acceptance of these terms.
Each session is delivered by a DBS-checked coach holding a current World Rugby coaching qualification.
3. Pricing & payment
- SkillsClub — £15 per single session.
- SkillsClub — £50 per month (covers all scheduled sessions in that calendar month; no rollover if missed).
- 1:1 / small-group sessions — priced on arrangement; confirmed by email before booking is held.
- Open training sessions — free.
Payment is due before the session unless we agree otherwise in writing. We'll confirm the payment method (bank transfer or card link) when we acknowledge your booking by email.
4. Cancellations & refunds
If you cancel:
- More than 24 hours before the session — full refund or move to a future session.
- Less than 24 hours before — no refund, but we'll always try to swap you to another date in the same week if there's a space.
- Monthly £50 sign-ups: no refund for individual missed sessions; the package covers attendance, not credit per session.
If we cancel:
- If we have to cancel a session (weather, coach illness, low numbers, venue issue, etc.), we'll notify you as early as we can and either reschedule, credit a future session, or refund the session cost — your choice.
5. Health, fitness & medical information
Rugby is a contact sport with inherent physical risk. By booking, you confirm the player is fit enough to take part in physical training of the kind described, and that you've disclosed on the signup form any medical conditions, allergies or disabilities we should reasonably know about.
Please update us if anything changes between bookings (recent injuries, new medications, etc.). We'll treat all medical information confidentially.
6. Risk acknowledgement & liability
You acknowledge that participating in rugby coaching carries the normal risks associated with the sport — bumps, knocks, sprains and the occasional more serious injury. We coach in line with World Rugby guidance and take reasonable steps to manage risk, including warm-ups, age-appropriate drills, qualified supervision and safe contact progression.
nudge. Limited accepts liability for personal injury or death caused by our own negligence to the extent required by Jersey law. Beyond that, we don't accept liability for:
- Injuries inherent in rugby training that aren't caused by our negligence.
- Loss or damage to personal belongings brought to a session.
- Pre-existing conditions or injuries not disclosed at signup.
- Indirect or consequential losses (e.g. missed work, transport costs) arising from a cancelled session.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be excluded under Jersey or UK consumer law.
7. Player conduct & code of behaviour
We expect every player at nudge. to:
- Treat coaches, other players and venue staff with respect.
- Arrive on time, in appropriate kit (boots, gum shield, water).
- Follow coach instructions, especially around contact technique and safety.
- Refrain from bullying, intimidating or discriminatory behaviour of any kind.
We reserve the right to ask a player to sit out, leave a session, or — in serious cases — discontinue their booking, if their conduct puts themselves, other players or coaches at risk. No refunds are given where a booking is ended for breach of conduct.
8. Parents & guardians (under-18s)
By signing up a player under 18, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, that you've read and accepted these terms on their behalf, and that you've given them appropriate medical and emergency-contact information.
Parents are welcome to watch sessions but please give coaches space to coach. Players must be collected promptly at the end of each session.
9. Photography & social media
We occasionally take photos and short video clips during sessions to share on our Instagram (@nudge_rugby) and on this website. The signup form requires you to tick a photography consent box before submitting — by booking, you're confirming you're happy for your child to appear in this kind of imagery.
You can change your mind at any time. Email info@nudge.je and we'll exclude your child from future shoots and remove any existing images on request.
10. Cancellation by you of a recurring monthly package
Monthly £50 bookings continue until you tell us to stop. Email info@nudge.je before the start of the next month to cancel; no notice period beyond that.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally — for example, when prices change or we add new sessions. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and on signup confirmations. Continuing to book after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jersey courts.
